Creating a Booking

  1. Go to the Bookings tab and tap the + button.
  2. Pick an existing customer by name/phone (autocomplete), or create a new one inline.
  3. Add one or more products from your inventory — Vastram supports multi-item bookings, so a single booking can cover a whole outfit (lehenga + jewellery + accessories).
  4. For each item, Vastram automatically checks for date conflicts against your other bookings — if that lehenga is already booked over an overlapping date range, you'll be warned before you can save.
  5. Set the pickup date, return date, and event date, plus an optional pickup/return time-of-day tag (Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night).
  6. Enter the event type, any alteration requirements and notes, delivery details, and the customer's full address — address is required on every booking, not just home delivery.
  7. Enter the advance paid, any discount, deposit amount, and payment mode.
  8. Save. Vastram automatically creates (or updates) the customer's profile from these details.

Managing bookings

The Bookings list has three tabs:

  • Active — bookings that haven't been returned yet. Filter by Today / Tomorrow / Next 7 Days, and see an overdue badge if a return is late.
  • Completed — bookings that have been returned and settled.
  • Cancelled — bookings you've cancelled.

Tap any booking to open its detail screen, where you can hand it over, mark it returned (see below), generate an invoice, or cancel it.

Returning an item

When you mark a booking as returned, if a security deposit was collected, Vastram opens a settlement dialog: enter any damage deduction, and it auto-suggests a late fee based on your shop's per-day rate and how many days late the return is (both editable). It shows the live refund or additional-amount-due calculation before you confirm.

Next: generate and share the invoice.
